The Daily Star seem to be keeping punters in the Football Transfer Tavern busy and their latest claim may be the best of all.
The publication have claimed that Atletico Madrid are looking to replace Chelsea bound Diego Costa and want to land former Sevilla turned Manchester City forward Alvaro Negredo as his replacement.
Diego Simeone may well be seeing his top stars leave this summer but for once he will be handed some serious cash by the club to replace them and after allowing David Villa to leave for the MLS, he has the funds and wages to make a move for Negredo.
The forward has settled into the Premier League well but given the form of Edin Dzeko towards the end of the season, not to mention the rest of the firepower held by City, Simeone is confident that for the right price he can tempt Negredo away and convince City to part with the star.
City seem to have a fair few clubs sniffing around their forward and we think they have a job to hold on to them!
