Manchester United and Arsenal fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are concerned as talkSPORT revealed that Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has directly spoke to Edinson Cavani, ahead of a potential move from Paris Saint-Germain.
Cavani, who has a had a strong season, is looking to leave the shadow of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and become his own star.
He has been shifted out to the wing since his £50 million move in 2013, to subsequently make room for Ibrahimovic.
United and Arsenal were expected to scrap over his signature until recent reports suggested that Atletico Madrid are also interested.
And now it seems Simeone has made his club favourites to sign him, after he phoned him directly.
He spent the time on the phone confessing that he was such a big fan of the Uruguayan and tried his best to persuade him that his future lies in Spain.
A number of Arsenal fans by the pool table in the Football Transfer Tavern are specifically annoyed about this news, with many of them noting that the addition of a world class striker would make them serious title contenders next season.
