One player that is being strongly linked with a late deadline day transfer is Southampton left back Luke Shaw, with both Manchester United and Chelsea reportedly trying to lure the youngster to their respective clubs.

However Sky Sports report that Saints manager Mauricio Pochettino has issued a hands-off warning to any interested suitors.

“At this moment, Southampton have no interest in selling Luke Shaw,” Pochettino said.

“It is clear Southampton believes in its players and wants these players; we have no intention of selling them.

“As far as I know we have had no interest in Luke Shaw.

“I don’t expect any phone calls. As a manager of the club I am fully focussed on the team and other people at the club deal with these things. If it happens – I will be informed. “

The Blues are thought to tabled an offer worth £20 million for the 18-year-old, while David Moyes is reportedly plotting a £22.5 million transfer for the defender, who only signed a five-year extension at St. Mary’s during the summer.
