The Daily Mail certainly have Manchester United fans looking up keenly here in the Football Transfer Tavern after claiming that one of the Red Devils’ former players could well be interested in a transfer reuni0n.
The man in question is Juventus star Paul Pogba who left United in 2012 and has gone on to become one of the best players in the world, and could well be leaving Italy should the right offer come in for his services.
Now as one of our punters notes, we wondered if the French international would even consider returning to his former club after receiving limited opportunities to succeed under Sir Alex Ferguson but that does not seem to be the case.
Pogba spoke about his former manager Ferguson and made it very clear that whilst he has an issue with the way the Scot treated him, his feelings about United are still generally positive.
Pogba noted: “He said ‘your time will come’ but it never did. It didn’t come. But it does not mean I will speak ill of Manchester United. I love the club.”
