Our landlord quips that of all the jobs to pick, this must have been not only one of the biggest but also one of the hardest considering the state of Manchester United – and Louis van Gaal has his work cut out for him.
Van Gaal was speaking to the Telegraph and claimed: ‘I am old. This is my last job. For sure,
‘I have to pay attention to my kids, my grandchildren but also to my wife. They deserve it.
‘Now I cannot pay that attention. I was not at the birthday of my grandson, for example. I don’t like it.’
As one of our punters notes, we assume he will want to leave the club a success but for that to happen a fair few things will need to change and much like Sergio Aguero claiming he will stay at Manchester City until they win the Champions League, we think Van Gaal could have a very angry wife on his hands should he wish to stay at United until they are back at the top of English football.
