Manchester United have been far from themselves this season and face the very real possibility of not being involved in Europe next season.

Yet still, they remain world giants in the football world and with a strong couple of transfer windows, they could be back on their feet, fighting against the very best once again.
To do that, they need the best players or more specifically, the ones with a bright future ahead of them. Manchester City have recently been linked with Frenkie de Jong but United should be ready to do everything they can to hijack that deal and get him to Old Trafford instead.
De Jong, who is valued at £36 million on Transfermarkt, is a player full of potential and he alone could revitalise a very poor Manchester United side.
The 21-year-old has become a very recognisable name in football in recent months, due to his brilliance in an Ajax and Holland shirt.
With 19 appearances and two goals for Ajax, De Jong has asserted himself as their main central-midfielder, the next talent to escape somewhere into Europe.
Interest is already extremely high and De Jong will have a lot of choice as to where he wishes to go. Manchester United, unlike City, can guarantee him a place in the starting 11 and that may be very persuasive for De Jong to consider.
As a great passer of the ball, a versatile player who is only getting better by the game, Frenkie De Jong is exactly the type of player needed at Old Trafford.
