Manchester United are keen on adding Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic on a free transfer next summer. United were in for Vlahovic earlier this summer, but opted to sign Benjamin Sesko instead thanks in part to director of recruitment Christopher Vivell’s familiarity with the Slovenian.
Vivell worked previously as technical director of RB Leipzig, and was the driving force behind United’s decision to move to Sesko over Vlahovic. Sesko has so far struggled to adapt to life in the Premier League though, only managing one start and so far failing to find the back of the net.
Vlahovic has been in fine form this season for Juventus, scoring twice in the club’s 4-4 draw with Borussia Dortmund in their Champions League match on Tuesday. He’s also struck two goals in three Serie A appearances so far.
The Serbia international’s Juventus contract expires next summer, and United are now on high alert. TeamTalk has reported that United are competing with La Liga heavyweights Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid for his signature.
United back in the hunt for Vlahovic

Vlahovic could be available as early as January, as currently his contract talks with Juventus have not progressed. He burst onto the scene as a youngster for Fiorentina, and was linked heavily with Arsenal before making the switch to Juve in 2022.
He became an instant fan favourite at the Old Lady, becoming the second youngest non-Italian player to score 50 goals in Serie A. He’s bagged 45 goals in 107 appearances for Juve, prompting some United fans this summer to urge the club to bring him to Old Trafford.
United have struggled offensively so far this season despite their heavy investment in the attacking areas. The Red Devils spent over £200m on the signings of Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha, and Bryan Mbeumo but have so far managed just four goals in four Premier League games.
They face a tricky clash with Chelsea on Saturday, and will be hoping for the return of Cunha and Mason Mount who missed last week’s Manchester Derby. Sesko is expected to start the match at striker and will be hoping to open his United account.
