Loads of Manchester United fans have been reacting to an injury update on Victor Lindelof ahead of their game versus West Brom in the Premier League.
As per aftonbladet, Sweden assistant manager Peter Wettregren has revealed that the 26 year-old ‘was in a bit of pain’ after their game against Croatia and also signalled to the bench in their match versus France that he could not continue for the second half of he UEFA Nations League clash.

Indeed, this could potentially be a big blow for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team if he is deemed not fit enough to play against the Baggies.
Lindelof has been a solid player for the Old Trafford faithful in the top flight so far in the 2020/21 term, averaging 4.3 clearances and 1.2 interceptions per appearance while also winning 2.5 duels a game (Sofascore).
Manchester United fan reaction to Lindelof injury
These Red Devils blasted the news of Lindelof’s injury on Twitter, with one Man United supporter even claiming that it was ‘stupid’:
Wettergren (Sweden assistant manager): "He [Lindelöf] gave me a signal at half-time [against France] that he would not go the whole [of the second] half. Then I told him to shout when it is not possible." #mulive [aftonbladet, @Sport_Witness]

It’s an irrelevant international game, just don’t play!

Question comes to mind… you know he’s struggling, why is he playing an injured player in a mostly meaningless game?

I don’t understand why we keep playing players in these situations. It’s unnecessary and not smart from Lindelöf, I understand he wants to play for his country but there are many games. Wettergren should’ve not let him play yesterday.

No sense in this. Why is he playing is a game that's not critical. https://t.co/Sdkgcka5AK

Soo stupid…hope he doesnt start vs West Brom than if he isnt fully fit. We played Rashford last year with some problems and he ended up out with a long time injury.
