According to a report from the Telegraph via MU Live, Manchester United are in pursuit of Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly in a bid to add to their centre back roster and insert more strength in depth – with bitter rivals Manchester City also being linked with the player over these past few months.

Koulibaly, who has averaged 2.6 tackles per game this season as per WhoScored.com, has been dubbed one of the most impressive defensive stalwarts in Europe – with Premier League clubs being linked with an effort to gain his signature for some time.
This latest report from the Telegraph (via the fan account on Twitter) suggests that United have joined the list of clubs interested in a potential swoop for the Senegalese star – even if they recently broke their transfer record for a defender to bring Harry Maguire to Old Trafford in the summer.
Now, in a bid to strengthen even more defensively, Koulibaly is being pursued by the club – but these Red Devils supporters think the rumours are too good to be true.
