Manchester United fans gave a mixed response to the news that it was unlikely the club would be signing Sporting CP star Bruno Fernandes.
Fernandes was in pre-season action on Wednesday night as Sporting CP drew 2-2 with Liverpool. The Portuguese international was at the centre of the action, chipping in with one goal and one assist.
Manchester United have been linked with a move for the 24-year-old all summer long and were even reported to have bid £49m for the attacking midfielder.
However, news broke on Sky Sports that a deal was unlikely after it emerged that Fernandes was not one of the priority signings for the club.
Bruno Fernandes is unlikely to join Manchester United this summer, Sky Sports News understands.

A move for Fernandes could still be on the cards, albeit not to Manchester United after manager Marcel Keizer revealed clubs were interested in the star, and that he wasn’t sure if the midfielder would stay.
Fans had mixed feelings about the news.
Some fans believe Sky Sports know nothing about the situation surrounding Fernandes:
Might as well get him on the back of shirt now, cheers lads.
