Loads of Manchester United fans have heaped praise on midfielder Bruno Fernandes following his side’s 3-0 win against Watford on Sunday.

The 25-year-old, who signed for the Red Devils for £47m in January, played a key part in his side’s triumph at Old Trafford. His 42nd-minute penalty set the ball rolling for what was a comfortable home win for the red half of Manchester, the goal which ended a 236-minute wait for a United home goal, according to BBC Sport. Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood also added to the goal tally which moved the Red Devils above Tottenham into fifth in the table.

His positive play and his willingness to win the ball against the Hornets caught the eyes of the United faithful. He won all seven of his ground duels, made three successful dribbles and completed four key passes, as per SofaScore. With this in mind, supporters hailed the performance of the Portugal international and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he was “captain material” as he led from the front, while another described him as a “God”.
