According to a report from the Sun via the Daily Mail, Manchester United are leading the race to sign red hot striker Erling Haaland and will also prioritise bringing in two central midfielders as per the same report.

United have been without an out and out centre forward since selling Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan in the summer, with Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford being deployed in the role up front throughout the campaign.
However, according to this latest whisper, the Red Devils have their eye firmly set on bringing Haaland to Old Trafford along with a defensive midfield player in January – waiting to sign an attacking midfielder next summer.
As a result, some supporters on Twitter have hammered the supposed strategy – hinting that an attacking midfield player should be a more important priority.
Indeed, the aforementioned Norwegian marksman has been wonderful this season – bagging 28 goals in 22 games for Red Bull Salzburg – so would come with an obvious goal threat, with pundits such as Roy Keane and Jose Mourinho suggesting the United could do with one this season after Lukaku’s departure.
