Manchester United fans were jubilant with the performance of right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka during his side’s 2-1 victory over their arch-rivals Manchester City on Saturday.
The Englishman’s defensive heroics helped his side get over the line at the Etihad Stadium, with first-half goals from Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial proving to be the fatal blows to the Citizens’ chances of getting anything from the game.
Wan-Bissaka, who joined the club for £50m from Crystal Palace in the summer, was a key factor in getting his side over the line for their second massive win in the space of a few days, after cruising past Spurs in mid-week.
Here are some of his impressive statistics:
7 duels won
7 clearances
5 tackles
3 blocked shots
2 interceptions@awbissaka locked up the Etihad 🕷 pic.twitter.com/Jr69IbIVsB— utdreport (@utdreport) December 7, 2019
The 22-year-old has been subject to criticism this season after the Red Devils have had a slow start, but now find themselves fifth in the Premier League table.
Supporters were delighted with Wan-Bissaka’s performance as they finally got one over their hated rivals as they stated with their responses on social media below.
