Thomas Meunier is a player who carries plenty of pedigree. The Belgian full-back is an established international and has had success at PSG, however, the defender is a boyhood Manchester United player and could up at Old Trafford this summer. That is according to The Independent, who claim United see him as an ‘easier and cheaper’ option.
#mufc are considering Thomas Meunier as a right-back signing this summer. The club's hierarchy like Wan-Bissaka and Trippier but Meunier would be cheaper and easier to sign #mulive [independent]

According to the article that The Independent have published, the Red Devils are eyeing up both Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Kieran Trippier as potential long-term solutions at right-back seeing as Antonio Valencia’s contract is up. However, Ed Woodward has also earmarked Meunier as he’s easier and cheaper to sign, and that’s a move that has greatly infuriated a lot of fans at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils have got alot of problem areas, certainly more than their top six rivals, and will be desperate to spend and bolster themselves in the summer window. It won’t be easy, as signing improvements never is, but if they are to go for it in the transfer market then the Manchester giants simply cannot afford to take the easy way out on anyone, especially not at right-back which is one of their biggest issues this season.

‘Cheaper signing.’
Sums our board up perfectly.

Cheaper signing???. That’s why we keep getting mediocre players. Just sell the club already.

Cheaper and easier. Sums up where this club is heading. Small club mentality.

The Red Devils are far from happy with the report of Meunier considering he’s the cheap and easy option and will want to see some ambition and long-termism come into the thinking of their board.
