Manchester United fans have backed the comments made by former player Darren Fletcher on how José Mourinho should line the team up for Sunday’s all-important Manchester Derby that will be played at the Etihad.
Speaking on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football show, the five-time Premier League champion said the manager should play Anthony Martial, Alexis Sanchez and Marcus Rashford together as the front-three in order to pose a strong attacking threat against Pep Guardiola’s charges.
Main striker Romelu Lukuka missed United’s previous two matches against Everton and Bournemouth with Mourinho opting for Rashford and then Sanchez as the lone striker in the respective encounters with Martial and Juan Mata on the wings.
United fans have agreed with Fletcher’s suggestion given the trio’s versatility with Sanchez and Rashford both capable of playing through the middle.
Here are some of their reactions:
Spot on. Lukaku is too rigid for how Pogba likes to play. Pogba dictating the play while that front 3 rotate around one another could cause chaos

Alexis, Rashford and Martial will do damage in the Manchester Derby.

Every United fan would like to see that

Rashford, Sanchez, Martial can counter-attack City better than we can if Lukaku plays. Should stick with this front 3

Should have been that from the start of the season. We’d be much better off now.
