A number of Manchester United fans have praised midfielder Daniel James after his performance during his side’s 2-1 win against Tottenham on Wednesday.
A brace from Marcus Rashford was enough to see the Red Devils jump up to sixth in the Premier League standings and ease the pressure on manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Dele Alli scored a spectacular equaliser for the visitors but it was not enough for Jose Mourinho to get the comeback that he had in mind.
Despite many fans heaping praise on Rashford, there was one other player in the squad that also won plenty of praise for his performance.
Since his move from Swansea City in the summer, Daniel James has surprised many with his impact in the squad despite the team’s recent poor run of form (no wins in three prior to last night) and the Wales international did not disappoint when Tottenham came to town.
James was effective on the ball as he completed 14 passes, had two shots, won five duels and had a passing success rate of 70% (as per Fotmob).
Plenty of supporters were full of praise for the Welshman and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan mentioned his “tackle” on Mourinho during the match and felt it was his favourite moment.
