Responding to a tweet by the United Stand, detailing who could potentially miss out on game time if Manchester United land rumoured targets Erling Haaland (per the Mirror) and Jadon Sancho (the Sun), the overwhelming consensus among supporters is dropping either Anthony Martial, Daniel James or both in favour of the hypothetical new signings.
Martial, who recently scored the third goal in a 3-0 win against Colchester United to seal a Carabao Cup semi-final place for the Red Devils, has been under some scrutiny this season – meanwhile Daniel James has impressed but only started playing Premier League football this season.
By comparison, Sancho is having another spectacular season in the Bundesliga for Borussia Dortmund – recently scoring for a seventh successive game in their 3-3 draw with RB Leipzig.
A strong debate on social media has since emerged surrounding who could potentially face the axe if United land the former Manchester City prodigy – but James and Martial appear to be the names that would mostly favour being dropped according to these supporters.

Martial, James and Greenwood I reckon. Martial will rotate with Rashford/ Haaland, James with Sancho and Greenwood with Sancho and Haaland.

Maybe martial and james. Rashford is ..you know, born as a red so the left side will be his own.
I think it depends on formation too, if 4231 then martial and james will be benched, if 442 then james only

Haaland should have to work his way in. Ultimately, I think what Ole would have in mind would be James and Martial missing out on a first choice eleven.
