Manchester United have held talks with Inter Milan over an extension for Alexis Sanchez’s loan, but unfortunately nothing has come to fruition so far.
Sanchez, 31, has spent the entire season on loan at the San Siro, reuniting with his old teammates Romelu Lukaku and Ashley Young.
Man United have allowed the Chilean and Chris Smalling, who is also in Italy with Roma, to extend their deals in Serie A until the end of the revised season. However, if Inter beat Getafe in the Europa League, they will also have to play knockout games as a result.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, as per @utdreport, the Red Devils are yet to reach an agreement with the Nerazzurri for the veteran in the summer.
Who should Solskjaer sell?
Alexis Sanchez
Daniel James
United had plenty of expectations for Sanchez, having beaten Manchester City to his signature to bring him to Old Trafford from Arsenal back in 2018, but it is safe to say he has turned out to be an unmitigated disaster.
Indeed, as The Telegraph’s James Ducker pointed out, he earns £400,000-a-week, despite the fact he has only scored five times in 45 games.
Naturally, many United fans slammed the “massive mistake” on social media, with one supporter branding him “rubbish,” and another urging the board to “get rid” of him as soon as possible.

The economic agreement is buying him at a fair price. Simple
They stalled Lukaku for months and United held their ground, ike everyone does towards us. Pay up or go home
Same club that wanted Martial for Perisic.

Cough up or lose out I’m sure many clubs will be looking at him for around £25m – £30m, even talk of pep having eyes on him, he’s done good since restart and has worked in our favour boosting his value, but them wages are a problem, need Chinese super league to come knocking 😁

Sell the flop once and for all, he’s been nothing but rubbish ever since he joined… massive mistake by Ed, should never have signed him in the first place.
