The transfer speculation is heating up, and Manchester United will be wanting to improve their squad. A lot of the United fan base are reacting to the latest news which suggests they are keen on centre-back Dayot Upamecano.
According to ESPN, via utdreport, Upamecano has a release clause of around €42 million (£37.6 million) which can be triggered at the end of the 2020/21 season. However, United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær wants to recruit the player in this window. Sources have said that they believe a deal between the Red Devils and RB Leipzig could be struck this summer, with his current value at £40.5m.
Last season, the 21 year-old Frenchman made 40 appearances in all competitions, including the Champions League and also for the France U21 side. In these games, he has managed on average two tackles, 1.6 interceptions and three clearances a game, per WhoScored.
He also helped his club keep ten clean sheets in both the Bundesliga and the Champions League, and his personal stats highlight how good the player looks already and with the potential he has, Man United could be onto a future world class star.
It would be great to add some more quality in the defensive positions and this signing would be a great place to start.

We don’t need him… For me I will say we need badashile Benoit as a LCB .. dayot is RCB …

They would be foolish not to sell him this season itself if they get a bid of more than 42M…this is definitely a deal that can be done.

No way they’re letting him go unless we offer Maguire money. Can’t see it happening in this window.
