Manchester United player Jesse Lingard looks to be struggling for game time at the club, as the last time he played a fixture was in the quarter-finals of the Europa League last season back in August, where he only played for seven minutes against Copenhagen, per Transfermarkt.
In the last twelve fixtures in the Premier League last season, he only featured twice, for a total of 41 minutes, per Transfermarkt, and clearly Ole Gunnar Solskjaer does not rate him at the moment. This has seen him linked with a move to a fellow Premier League side as Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in the Englishman.
However, the only way that a transfer would happen, per the Times, via utdreport, is if Dele Alli leaves Spurs. This is due to the fact that the North London side see Lingard as a potential replacement for Alli. Some supporters of United seem to favour such a transfer, whilst others seem to rate Alli highly as they are recommending a swap deal between the two would be a good idea.
Throughout his career, 27 year-old Lingard has managed 318 appearances, scoring 63 goals and picking up 49 assists, however with him not being favoured currently at United, a move might benefit all parties.
