Manchester United: Fans react to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer comments on Eric Bailly

Manchester United defenders Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire received a lot of criticism following the Red Devils losing 3-1 to Crystal Palace last weekend.

Meanwhile centre-back Eric Bailly shone in the Carabao Cup against Luton Town, picking up an 8.1 rating, per SofaScore, keeping a clean sheet, making three clearances and blocking three shots, as well as making two tackles, two interceptions, and he even made a goal line clearance.

Since this game, some supporters have been discussing whether he should start in the Premier League, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s latest comments have added more fuel to this possibly happening as he said, via utdreport, “Eric [Bailly] is fit again, a big, big plus and looking forward to seeing him develop and play more games. We’ve been waiting for him to be fit and play more regularly.”

This has got many supporters excited, with some suggesting he might replace Lindelof this weekend, however they are slightly worried because even though Bailly has featured 86 times, he has missed 62 games since signing due to various injuries, per Transfermarkt. He showed his quality against Luton, and if he is fit it looks like Solskjaer would give him the game time he would want.
