Manchester United: Fans react to Red Devils’ top priority Victor Osimhen

Manchester United have made Lille striker Victor Osimhen a top priority in the upcoming transfer window, according to le10sport per the Daily Mail.

After arriving in Lille from RSC Charleroi for £10.8m, Osimhen has made an electric start to his time in Ligue 1, bagging 13 goals and providing 4 assists in his first season for the Great Danes. The youngster has impressed in the French top flight, taking 3.2 shots per game, and providing 0.8 key passes on average. He also scored against United’s Premier League rivals Chelsea in the Champions League (WhoScored).

The Nigerian forward recently admitted his countryman Odion Ighalo is his favourite United player via his Instagram story.

Despite his young age the 21-year-old has already won several caps for the Super Eagles and scored 4 goals. His current market value is priced at £27m via Transfermarkt.

Osimhen’s recent performances have understandably caught the eye of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who has now reportedly identified the ace as a key target in the summer (Mail).

As expected, a large section of the Old Trafford faithful have reacted to the latest transfer news on Twitter, with many delighted by the Red Devils link to the “class” striker. Some are excited by the prospect of Osimhen reuniting with loan signing Odion Ighalo, with a couple of fans dubbing the duo “Nigerian nightmares.” Another pointed out he is “no Sancho though.”
