A number of Manchester United fans have been offering their reactions to reports that Premier League strugglers Sheffield United are lining up a January loan move for Marcos Rojo.
Rojo has found himself well down the pecking order at Old Trafford so far this campaign, and it is thought that the Red Devils fielded several enquiries over the Argentine throughout the summer. However, in the end they decided to keep hold of the defender, who played just ten times in all competitions last term and is yet to feature this season.

The 30-year-old, though, is behind the likes of Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Axel Tuanzebe and Eric Bailly in the pecking order. Manchester United could therefore elect to send him out on loan in the January window ahead of his £80,000-a-week deal (Spotrac) coming to an end in the summer, per The Sun.
Sheffield United are hopeful they can reach an agreement with Manchester United to take the defender on a temporary basis – the Blades have lost influential defender Jack O’Connell to a knee injury and need to add to their defensive options, per The Sun.
MUFC fans react to potential Rojo departure
Some Manchester United fans have questioned why they are not able to sell fringe players rather than having to loan them out. While others offered their frustrations over the high wages being paid out to players who are not featuring and therefore can not be shifted on a permanent basis.

Give Rojo a loan move. The man is not good enough to play at United but kept is mouth shut & when he played he always have his all. He seems like a good guy, let him go get some 1st team football.

Would be a good deal, considering how well they have taken care of Deano. I hope there’s a obligation to buy clause inserted too.

Loan loan loan. No one wants to huh mediocre players on high salaries. Ed Woodward failed big time giving these players such contracts

Loan? He’s 30 and we have no intention of playing him. Get him sold and we’ll throw in Jones for free.
