Some Manchester United fans have been left slamming Nemanja Matic for his display versus Sheffield United in the Premier League.
Although Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team ran out 3-2 winners in the end against Chris Wilder’s side at Bramall Lane, the performance of Matic was not one that pleased some members of the Old Trafford faithful.

The defensive midfield player lost out on no fewer than six of his duels in the game, and also failed to record a single clearance, interception or tackle in the clash (Sofascore) – hardly ideal for a defensive midfielder.
The Serbia international also lost possession of the ball a total of 10 times in the match, earning him a very measly 6.3 rating on Sofascore, the joint-lowest out of any of his teammates to have started on the pitch for the Red Devils.
He may not get many more chances in the first team with the likes of Paul Pogba, Donny van de Beek, Fred and Scott McTominay as other options for Solskjaer in midfield, and so will surely need to step up his game over the course of the busy festive period.
