Manchester United fans vented their frustrations towards defender Phil Jones after his first-half performance against Sheffield United.

The Red Devils came from 2-0 down to take the lead 3-2 but eventually drew 3-3 after a last-gasp equaliser from Blades middle man Oliver McBurnie.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side were behind until the 77th minute as the Red Devils scored three goals in seven minutes to take a shock lead, with goals coming from Brandon Williams, Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford.

The main critique from fans was the defending from Phil Jones during the game, which eventually saw the 27-year-old Englishman substituted at half-time for Jesse Lingard. He was easily outmuscled by Lys Mousset which led to the hosts’ opening goal during the game.
Supporters fumed over Jones’ defensive display and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he “should never play for the club again”, while another described him as “Calamity Jones”.
