Manchester United: Fans slam Paris Saint-Germain’s interest in Marcus Rashford

Marcus

Manchester United star Marcus Rashford is Paris Saint-Germain’s top transfer target this summer, according to The Independent.

As Man United have been in such prolific form of late, it is hardly surprising other European giants have come calling. PSG have had a long break for Thomas Tuchel to start planning for a long-term rebuild and he views Rashford as a top priority.

Tuchel values Rashford’s directness and versatility, as he has formed part of a formidable front four alongside Anthony Martial, Bruno Fernandes and Mason Greenwood in recent weeks. The 22-year-old could even become a long-term replacement for Kylian Mbappe if he moves to the Parc des Princes, on the assumption that Real Madrid will eventually make a move for the French World Cup winner.

Should United sell Rashford?

However, Tuchel is perhaps underestimating the academy graduate’s value at Old Trafford. The Red Devils greatly admire Rashford, who broke through the ranks after being given his first-team debut by former boss Louis van Gaal.

It is hard to imagine that they will be willing to let him go for anything less than £100m, even in today’s declining market, although PSG certainly have the bank balance to prise him away if their interest persists.

Naturally, many United fans slammed the Ligue 1 champions’ “ridiculous” link to Rashford, with one fan branding the news “stupid” and another saying that Tuchel is a “clown” as the England international has repeatedly made it clear that he wants to stay at the Theatre of Dreams.

Scroll through some of the scathing reactions so far…

He'd never leave.
We'd never sell.

But thanks for the admiration.

This report is as funny as it sounds stupid. Tuchel should know better.

Rashford would never leave! And i dont think we would ever want him to! I dont think the fanbase wud ever forgive the person that did… We are not in financial turmoil to consider such controversial decisions…
