Manchester United: Fans slate Mason Greenwood display against Southampton

Some Manchester United fans have been slating the display of Mason Greenwood against Southampton in the Premier League.

The England international did not even make the second half as he was substituted at half time by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for Edinson Cavani, who went on to score United’s equalising goal and what proved to be the winner ad United came from 2-0 down to win 3-2.

Greenwood missed a big chance in the first half by hitting the side netting after doing the hard work to go around Alex McCarthy and he was not very effective in the game in general.

The 19-year-old failed to record a single dribble, key pass, cross or long ball, while losing possession of the ball five times, earning him a quite measly 6.4 overall rating by Sofascore.

With Cavani also scoring in the match, perhaps Greenwood’s place in the first team for the Red Devils is now under threat.
