Manchester United fans were jumping for joy after youngster Brandon Williams made his first start in the Premier League game against Brighton and Hove Albion.
With Luke Shaw out injured and Ashley Young suspended after receiving his fifth yellow card in the game against Bournemouth, the 19-year-old was thrown in at left-back for his sixth first-team appearance of the season (via Transfermarkt).
Ahead of the game against the Seasiders, the Norwegian praised Williams for the ‘big impression’ he made to earn a full top-flight debut (MUTV via The Metro).
The youngster has impressed with the United under-23 side this season, having notched up four assists in just five games in the Premier League 2.
Fans were over the moon after Williams was afforded the chance to feature against Graham Potter’s side this afternoon as they took to Twitter to react.
