Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes has been included in BBC Sport’s Match of the Day Team of the Season.
Despite the fact he has only played five games in the Premier League, Fernandes has clearly made a massive impression so far.
After arriving at Old Trafford from Sporting Lisbon for £49.5m in January, the Portuguese has quickly found his feet on the hallowed turf, scoring 2 goals and creating 3 assists in the English top flight.
Following his sensational form at domestic level, the 25-year-old has also provided a goal and an assist for the Red Devils in just 3 appearances in the Europa League, taking 3.7 shots per game and producing 3 key passes on average up until now (via WhoScored).
Whether or not the midfield maestro can continue this incredible streak remains to be seen, but early indications suggest Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a real star on his hands.
Unsurprisingly, loads of United fans have waxed lyrical over the “magnifico’s” latest honour, with one fan dubbing him “gargantuan,” and another adding it is merely “lightwork.”
