Harry Maguire has posted his opinion on Manchester United’s ‘incredible gesture‘ towards a season ticket holder due to the ongoing pandemic.
The Red Devils captain shared a screenshot from a United fan praising the club’s efforts during the nationwide lockdown via his official Twitter account, and captioned the image with a simple two word message, saying “my club.”
After arriving at Old Trafford from Premier League rivals Leicester City for £78.3m last summer, Maguire has really led Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side from the back, making a staggering 4.6 clearances per game, averaging 1.8 interceptions, and successfully completing at least 1 tackle on average in the English top flight (via WhoScored).
Given the responses so far, it is fair to say this has gone down rather well with the United faithful, as plenty of supporters took to social media to reply to the England international’s tweet. One fan remarked United’s contribution was “pure class” while another added they are “proud to be a Red.”
