Some Manchester United fans have been left fuming over an update ahead of their game at home to Newcastle United on Saturday afternoon.
As per the official website of the Premier League, Anthony Taylor has been appointed as the on-field referee for the match at Old Trafford.

He has given the Red Devils the fourth-most yellow cards (65) out of any team that he has been involved in games with (Transfermarkt), and is a man that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has had problems with in the past (The Daily Mail).
Despite being from Manchester himself, it seems as if some Man Utd supporters are not happy with Taylor’s appointment, and would have rather another ref to have take charge instead.
Nonetheless, referees are always going to get stick from fans if they feel a decision has gone against them.
