Manchester United: Fans rave over Donny van de Beek following RB Leipzig win

A number of Manchester United fans have heaped praise over the performance of Donny van de Beek after he played a starring role in their 5-0 thrashing of RB Leipzig.
The Dutchman is yet to start a Premier League game for the Red Devils since his £35m move from Ajax in the summer. However, he was trusted by Ole Gunnar Solskjær to start in their Champions League group stage clash against Leipzig at Old Trafford.
Van de Beek delivered a very encouraging performance for United in his first start in a major fixture for them, with the Dutchman helping them to dictate the game in midfield with a 90% passing accuracy. He also delivered two key passes, made one interception and completed three successful dribbles (Sofascore).
The 14-cap Netherlands international has shown glimpses of his ability during his four substitute appearances in the Premier League, registering his first goal for the club from the bench against Crystal Palace. However, against Leipzig he showed how effective he can be from the start and extra attacking dynamism he can provide.
United fans react to performance of Van de Beek on social media
Many Manchester United fans were keen to point out the quality that the midfielder clearly possesses and believe there is much more to come from the Dutchman following his display against Leipzig last night.
#MUFC, that was a delight to watch!
First half we looked mentally sharp, quick tempo in our passing.
Second half physically sharp, pressing created the goals.
Van de Beek looked very good, Pogba was brilliant, Fred was relentless, and Rashford with the hat trick.

This win was built on the back of excellent work in the midfield by Fred, brilliant work playing out from the back from Shaw and Wan Bisaka in particular and the one touch creativity of Van de Beek #MUFC

Van De Beek's composure under pressure, his ability to make space for himself, and his passing accuracy is quite outstanding. Top player who makes things happen.#mufc #MUNRBL

Despite scoring 4 goals when he came off the pitch, Van de Beek was absolute quality. His touch and ability to keep the ball in tight spaces is so needed to control the game from the off. #MUFC #VDB @rickthereduk @markgoldbridge
