Some Manchester United fans have been left to slam some early team news ahead of their home game against Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday evening.
As per French news outlet L’Equipe, the former AS Monaco man ‘should not’ be able to play against Graham Potter’s team after an injury that he suffered to his knee while on international duty with France against Kazakhstan.
Should Manchester United sell Martial?
The publication also claims that it is ‘not guaranteed’ that he will play any part in their first leg in the UEFA Europa League quarter-final against Granada either.
While Martial has not been very prolific so far in the 2020/21 term, scoring a mere seven goals in 36 games in total over all competitions (Transfermarkt), his form is starting to pick up as of late, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer praising the 25-year-old striker for his ‘man of the match’ display in their 2-0 away win over Manchester City in the Premier League in March.
Manchester United fans on Martial update
These Red Devils slammed the update on Martial after it was shared on Twitter, with one member of the Old Trafford faithful even going as far as to claim that it was ‘stupid’:
“Advantage Brighton and Granada”
“Wow this is stupid”
“At this rate, we are behind in the race for top 4.”
“I hate this game”
