Manchester United have been offered the chance to AC Milan midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek on loan. The former Chelsea star enjoyed a promising start to life at the San Siro in 2023, but has since found himself frozen out of the first team picture.
He has struggled for game time this season and is now reportedly keen to return to the Premier League. The Red Devils are known to be on the market for midfielders, with links to several top names being bandied about.
While one if not several big money moves is expected to take place over the summer, United is also considering a loan signing this winter to bolster their hopes of Champions League qualification. Loftus-Cheek is a name in contention to bolster the squad for the second half of the season.
TalkSport has reported that talks between United and Milan are at the exploratory stage, but the player is keen to return to the Premier League.
United offered Loftus-Cheek loan

Loftus-Cheek made more than 100 Premier League appearances for Chelsea after breaking through the youth ranks. He also had loan spells at Palace and Fulham before moving to Serie A. He became a full England international in 2017, making 10 appearances for the Three Lions between then and 2018.
He then found himself frozen out of the England picture for the better part of seven years until October of 2025 when he was called up by then new England boss Thomas Tuchel for matches against Wales and Latvia. He appeared against the former as a 70th minute substitute for Declan Rice on 9 October.
His experience and international pedigree could help push United to a return to Champions League football next season. The Red Devils are buoyed by their 2-0 win over rivals Manchester City in their last Premier League outing.
They currently sit just one point behind Liverpool in the race for top four and face a clash with league leaders Arsenal next.
