James’ finesse on the counter-attack during United’s 2-1 derby win at the Etihad was one of the reasons they came away from Eastlands victorious – with the Wales international consistently giving left-back Angelino a tough time out wide.

His performance against their bitter rivals in particular has warranted due praise from the former Red Devils shot-stopper, who has claimed that he was ‘unbelievable’ in the encounter and hinted at his importance during United’s second win on the trot against a top six side.
The ex-Denmark international stated, via United Xtra: “He (James) was unbelievable, chasing every ball, he was in every counter-attack and, at the same time, he was doubling up with Wan-Bissaka on the right-hand side. He’s played every single game this season and he’s still playing well. Fantastic signing.”
