Metro have Manchester United fans frowning here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they seem to think that the Red Devils are set to sell Angel Di Maria.
The winger has not been in the best form of late but despite that we think that he still has plenty to give United and is actually far better than they have deserved at times this season – but according to Metro, Louis van Gaal is set to cash in on the Argentine and bring in Memphis Depay instead.
The PSV Eindhoven starlet is someone who knows Van Gaal and his methods well – although quite if he can translate his form from a small league in Europe to the biggest stage of all, we are not sure and frankly, we would keep Di Maria.
As one of our punters quips, given their post winter break decline, we think that Real Madrid might even want to buy Di Maria back if United are dead set on selling him!
