Manchester United fans are smiling at the news coming out of Metro who seem to think that Mats Hummels is at the top of their summer wishlist – and the Borussia Dortmund player could well be willing to leave his current club.
The Red Devils have long been admirers of Hummels and we think that a summer move by Louis van Gaal would come at the perfect time for the player, given BVB have been dire this season and were once again booed by their own fans following their Champions League exit at the hands of Juventus.
United meanwhile are desperate for a defender who has the quality Hummels possesses and we think given they are only a couple of points off second this season with the struggles and injuries they have faced, adding Hummels to the mix could well be a recipe for success.
