It’s no surprise that they are confused, after it was only last week the club released an interview with him saying how happy is at the club.
But this can only be considered as propaganda, with people a lot of closer to the 27-year-old saying that he is looking for an escape route, after his horror season in England.
It has been discussed at length in the Tavern that he never actually wanted to join the Red Devils in the first place before he made his £60m move from Real Madrid.
And it now appears as though he can fulfil his initial wish and join Paris Saint-Germain after agreed to join them before FFP rules meant that the move didn’t materialise, meaning he had to move to his second choice, United.
But this isn’t all bad news for United fans as it the club may have the option to sign Edison Cavani in return.
