Manchester United fans are falling about laughing here in the Football Transfer Tavern as our landlord produces this viral image from their recent fixture against Tottenham Hotspur – and the rather hilarious name given to Juan Mata.

The Spanish midfielder seems to have been given the nickname ‘Marijuana Mata’ and we cannot quite work out if that is because of some shady off-the-field activates we have not heard about or just because the commentator got rather confused – or had been getting a little bit creative with his smoking himself!

We think that given the recent pictures doing the rounds on Twitter, this name might be more appropriate for former Chelsea star David Luiz!
