Manchester United fans are delighted to hear that they will have got the best of Angel Di Maria in Europe as talkSPORT reveal that the Argentine has declared that this will be the last European club he plays for.
Di Maria has played for huge clubs across the continent, previously appearing for Portuguese giants Benfica before moving to the glamorous Real Madrid.
He then moved to England for a British record transfer fee of £59.7 million last summer.
“Truth be told, I’ve played for Europe’s biggest clubs, competed in two World Cups and won the Champions League,” said Di Maria.
“I represented Real Madrid and before that was with Benfica, which, while a slightly smaller club than Madrid, is a giant of Portuguese football.
“Now I’m with another massive club in Manchester United. When I finish here, I think it might be time to return to Argentina. Hopefully, that happens.”
Punters are slightly saddened by the news but hope this means that he will have a long-term future at Old Trafford as he is only 26-years-old.
But maybe four years of football is the amount of play time the board expected to see from the expensive Argentine.
