It’s not every day in 2019 that pundits talk about Manchester United winning the Premier League. Indeed, their last title came in Sir Alex Ferguson’s final season at Old Trafford back in 2013.

However, a former player and captain under Sir Alex has had his say, as Gary Neville claims that Manchester United are not as far off of winning a title as it’s believed, also claiming that he thinks his former side will win the Premier League before Liverpool do so.
His comments were made whilst talking on Sky Sports The Debate show, and have been documented by The Metro. They make for a comforting read for United fans, who last season saw their side finish 32 points off of champions Man City and 31 points behind runners-up Liverpool.

The United fans above seem to be quite optimistic after hearing Neville’s comments, although only time will tell if they come to fruition.
