Manchester United: The Old Trafford faithful can’t contain their excitement following Harry Maguire’s performance against Chelsea

Manchester United fans were more than happy after Harry Maguire’s man of the match performance in his Premier League debut against Chelsea.

The England international was in fine form as he made more clearances, more interceptions, and more blocks (per Sky Sports) than any other player in the Old Trafford side’s 4-0 win.

A brace from Marcus Rashford and a goal apiece from Anthony Martial and debutant Daniel James saw the Red Devils sweep aside Frank Lampard’s Chelsea.

However, it was Maguire who won most of the plaudits with debuting Sky Sports pundit Jose Mourinho labelling the 26-year-old a ‘rock’.

“He fully deserved the award, he was solid like a rock,” said the Portuguese.

“As I always said Lindelof can be a very good player. With Maguire, it can be a very good partnership.” (Source: Sky Sports)

Indeed, the fans below clearly loved the performance of Maguire and took to Twitter to react to the former Leicester man’s performance, one for which he was handed a 9/10 by the Sun in their player rating.
