Manchester United: Fans react as Daniel James transfer speculation escalates

Share

When Manchester United signed Daniel James from Swansea City back in 2019, it must have stuck in the craw for Leeds United, who had previously agreed a deal with the player, only for the Swans to pull the plug at the last minute.

He made a decent start to life as a Manchester United as he managed three Premier League goals in his first four games, per Transfermarkt.

However, he hasn’t scored in the top flight since and, after gameweek 20 last term, he didn’t manage to provide any goal contributions in the division to add to his six assists, per Transfermarkt. This saw him dropped to the bench in the last seven matches of the campaign.

The 22-year-old looks short of confidence and the latest news might be a boost as Leeds want to sign him, and the only decision for the Red Devils to make is whether they want to sell him or loan him out, according to journalist Alan Nixon, via utdreport.

United must have noticed lots of potential in him when they signed him, so a loan move would possibly be more ideal, but the rumours have definitely caused a lot of debate from many supporters.
