Many Manchester United fans have reacted to a claim from talkSPORT that Edinson Cavani is in talks to move to Old Trafford.

The 33-year-old Uruguayan striker is now a free agent after spending seven years with Ligue 1 side Paris Saint Germain.

Finishing his spell at Parc des Princes, the 116-cap international netted an impressive 200 goals in 301 games for PSG, and his future is now being discussed with a recent report linking him with a move to Old Trafford.

United have struggled to sign players in this transfer window, bringing in just Donny van de Beek from Dutch giants Ajax. With the window coming to a close on Monday evening, talks over a deal for Cavani to become the next new face at the club are said to be progressing.

Cavani's potential arrival to United would hand Solskjaer another option in attack, joining the likes of Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood, Anthony Martial, Odion Ighalo and Daniel James.

His arrival at the club may have echoes of the 2014 signing of another South American striker in Radamel Falcao, who scored abundantly in Europe before moving to Old Trafford. However, he failed to impress in Manchester, netting just four times in 29 games for the club.

Here we take a look at some of the reaction from United fans via talkSPORT's tweet, where they were asked to provide a rating out of 10 on the potential signing...
