A number of Manchester United supporters are unhappy at a transfer rumour claiming that Marcus Rashford could potentially join Barcelona.

The 24-year-old has already enjoyed a hugely successful career at Old Trafford, scoring 91 goals in 283 appearances for the Red Devils.

Admittedly, Rashford's season hasn't quite got going this time around, with only six league starts and three goals in all competitions partly due to injury, but he remains a key figure moving forward, especially given his long-term potential.

It seems unlikely that United will be planning to sell the England international any time soon, but according to EFE [via Manchester Evening News and Man United News on Twitter], Barcelona are 'confident' that they could acquire his signature.

Rashford's current United deal doesn't expire until the summer of 2023 and there is an option to extend that by a further year.
