Manchester United fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are wondering whether or not the move will work as the Manchester Evening Standard revealed that Javier Hernandez will be returning after his loan spell with Real Madrid.
Many assumed that his days of playing second fiddle at United were over but things haven’t quite worked out in Spain either.
Hernandez has admitted his confidence has hit “rock bottom” as he has only started four games since his season long loan last summer.
The 26-year-old striker said: “My situation is frustrating.
“I cooperate, I help and give my 100 per cent in training but in the games the opportunities are slim.
“I’m in a team but left out of what is important, which are the games.
“At times my confidence is rock bottom although I try for it to be sky high, thanks to the people that are always there with me and support me.”
If he is able to revitalise his career next season at Old Trafford, he could be the answer to Louis van Gaal’s attacking problems.
Because this season the United frontline has been accused of being static and lacking dynamism.
But the Mexican’s style is the complete opposite to this and he has proved over the past few years that he can be a nuisance for any defence in the Premier League.
