It seems that Manchester United and their fans are still in disagreement over their reported transfer targets this summer. However, French outlet L’Equipe (via Sport Witness) has come out with a report that Lyon have no intention of letting Moussa Dembele, an alleged (via the Express) target for the Red Devils go this summer and they have denied United even approaching them for the player in the first place. It’s safe to say that this news has come as a relief to some of the fans who have taken to Twitter to urge the club no to sign the player and to propose some other solutions instead.

Manchester United have been linked with some other, bigger transfer targets this summer, and the fans are now expecting the club to go through with those rather than resorting to lower-profile players. Judging by the reaction of some of those fans, Moussa Dembele is certainly a part of that latter group of transfer targets and the ones they would not be keen on welcoming to Old Trafford.
Of course, some would be willing to make that sacrifice if it meant the departure of some other squad players not particularly to their liking. The name of Romelu Lukaku has been thrown around in the Twitter comment section, as well as that of some other less favoured players in the club.
