Sources in Italy have reported Milan are interested in bringing Didier Drogba to the San Siro as they attempt to rebuild a squad to re-frame their Galactico status that has for decades been a presence at the club.
Unfortunately for the power house name the Ivory Coast hit-man is believed to be more than comfortable causing chaos amongst defences in England and it has been suggested he is prepared to snub vacating the country and instead make a shock move across the Capital to White Hart Lane.
Drogba who has been so use to being the main man leading the line for the blues is now taking a back seat as the arrival of Fernando Torres now means the powerful front runner is no longer a part of future plans at the bridge as Roman Abramovich seeks a long term partner for the £50 million Spaniard.
Despite the Danger man being 33 he is still a menace on the pitch and I’m sure the news of him staying in the premiership at an alternative club isn’t what Chelsea fans want to here.
During his seven season’s in England he has Knocked the ball between the sticks 144 times in 301 appearances, plus his International recorded is second to none with 73 caps racking up a staggering 47 goals earning him the right to be mentioned up there as one of the best strikers in the world… and quite rightly so.
The Sun have reported Chelsea want to offer Drogba a new two year contract thought to be worth £130,000 a week as his current deal expires next summer. I think if the right price comes in for the goal machine Chelsea will look to off load and begin the new season upfront with a new era.
I can’t imagine they will be short of offers for the 6ft 2” hit man.
