Over the course of the summer, the Manchester United and Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern were completely at each others’ throats.
Indeed, while it’s a big rivalry anyway, the fact that both Premier League powerhouses paid big money for top-level strikers in the transfer window was always likely to see a certain amount of competition arise.
With both Alvaro Morata and Romelu Lukaku in the goals since joining their respective new clubs, the Blues in our bar are seemingly over the fact that their club appeared to miss out on the Belgian, who they sold as a youngster.
Morata’s form has healed that particular wound, while endearing the Spaniard to our west London locals along the way. So, as you can imagine, the former Juventus and Real Madrid striker is the talk of the town over in SW6.
So, considering all of this, here’s a look at how Chelsea fans praised Morata as better than Lukaku after his Champions League heroics last night.
Morata might be million miles better than Lukaku in what ever way we call it but just respect Lukaku as a different animal.
