Sheffield Wednesday: Fans praise Morgan Fox for winning the club’s Player of the Month for January

Morgan Fox was named Sheffield Wednesday’s Player of the Month for January and fans have taken time to praise the defender after he recently picked up his award.

The left-back initially struggled to make the step-up to the Championship, making just 26 and 21 starts in 2017/18 and 2018/19 respectively.

However, he has made amends and is beginning to repay the reported £700,000 that the Owls spent on him, and in January he made a number of impressive performances – achieving a WhoScored rating of 7.4 against Wigan, for example. Unfortunately for the South Yorkshire outfit and Garry Monk, Fox’s appearance against the Latics was the last game he played, and the Owls have lost every league game since.

That would suggest that the left-back is badly missed and is an important player in the side, so it is little surprise that many fans have reacted to Fox picking up his award by suggesting it is fully merited, among other well wishes.
